Viola T. (Martel) Mello Obituary (2012)

FALL RIVER...Viola Theresa (Martel) Mello, 87, of Fall River passed Tuesday September 25, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire a daughter of the late Thomas and Malvina (Laliberte) Martel and had lived in this area most of her life. She was the widow of the late John M. Mello. She was a communicant of St. Bernadette Parish. She enjoyed Bingo, Dancing, Roller Skating and was very family oriented. She had been employed for many years at New England Poultry as a clerk. She was the owner of the former Northend Ceramics for 15 years. Survivors include a son: Kenneth J. Mello of Fall River, a sister: Vivian G. Bell of Chicopee, MA, several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rosario Martel, Victor Martel, Lucien Martel, Lauretta Martel, Maurice Martel, Raymond Martel and Paul Martel. Funeral services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 8AM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River. Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at St. Bernadette Parish, 529 Eastern Ave. Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Thursday 5-8PM
