FALL RIVER...Rosario C. Ponte, 74, of Fall River passed away August 21, 2019 at Fall River Healthcare. Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of Zelia (Carvalho) Ponte and had lived in Fall River since 1966. Ms. Ponte worked for many years in the local Textile Industry. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter: Rachel Zimmerman of Tiverton; her son: Jose Dias of Fall River; her sister: Fatima Vieira of Quebec, Canada; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Claudimiro Ponte. Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday September 7, 2019 at 11:45 AM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River.
