FALL RIVER... Nancy J. Carrita, 64 of Fall River loving mother and grandmother went home to God December 21, 2021, at her home. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Elsie (Freitas) Carrita. Although Nancy lived most of her life in Fall River, she had various opportunities to live throughout the country. She worked for many years as a teacher's aide in the Fall River School Department. She also had a great passion for the work she did with The James L. Maher Center in Middletown and the Fall River Deaconess Home. She enjoyed crafts, working with people and above all else, spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her children: Rachael Soares and her husband Jason of Rio Rancho, NM; her son: Bradley Carrita of Salem, MA; her grandchildren: Molly, Sasha and Noah; her sister: Evelyn Moss of Somerset; her brother: Joseph Carrita of South Dennis; her two closest friends: Eileen Murray Barlow, Patricia Doherty Weisberger,and Michelle Hill all of Fall River; and several nieces, nephews and many more friends. She was the sister of the late James Carrita. There are no services scheduled at this time.
