FALL RVER... Maria (Dos Anjos Da Costa) Correia, 86, of Fall River passed away peacefully February 20, 2022 at home, with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Jose Correia. Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Guilhermina (Viveiros) Da Costa. Mrs. Correia was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church and had worked for many years as a Seamstress at the former Whaling Manufacturing. She was an avid cook and gardener, but above all else, what she cherished the most was spending time with her family. Survivors include her children: Joseph Correia of Westport, John Correia of Fall River, Carmen Farias of Fall River, Carlos "Carl" Correia of Fall River and Paul Correia of Fall River; 8 grandchildren: Jeanna, Michael, Jeremy, Scott, Candace, Jordan, Rylee & Sam; 1 great grandson: Elijah; her brother Jose Da Costa of Canada; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Da Costa. At the request of the family, funeral services will be private.
