FALL RIVER ... Lynda "Moose" (Croughan) Straatveit, 58, of Fall River died Monday, September 1, 2008. She was the companion of Sondra Yarbough of Fall River. She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Helen V. Croughan and had lived in Fall River for most of her life. She was employed by Rite Aide Pharmacy in Fall River for 5 years and drove cab for Yellow Cab of Fall River for 16 years retiring in April due to illness. Lynda enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and music and was a 1968 graduate of Rogers High School, Newport. Survivors include her long time companion of 20 years, a sister Sandra Mendonca of Tiverton, an aunt Mary Frances Croughan of Tiverton, a niece, a nephew, and a great nephew. Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 10AM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, (508) 672-0291). Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 8 PM.
