Lillian Sophie Gardula, 83, of Fall River, died peacefully Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Anne's Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Gardula and the late Magdalena (Wal) Gardula. She was the sister of Wanda Gancarski and the late Peter, Caroline, Mary, Laura, Stella and Helen. In addition she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, and dear friends Norma, Jim & Sophie. She was a 1946 BMC Durfee High School graduate. She worked as a book keeper at Fair Hope Fabrics in Fall River. She worked over 30 years in the Army Signal Corps (Washington D.C.) and the Newport Naval Base. A funeral to which relatives and friend are invited will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 9:00 AM from BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Good Shepard Church at 10 o'clock. Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7. Interment will be private at the request of the family.
