FALL RIVER...Joseph H. Chouinard, 88, of Fall River passed away August 1, 2021 at home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Arruda) Chouinard to whom he had been married for over 35 years, prior to her passing. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Jean Baptiste and Adrienne (Michaud) Chouinard and had lived all of his life in Fall River. Mr. Chouinard was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked for many years at the former Hascon Manufacturing Company of Taunton. He enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his daughters: Debra Howard of Fall River and Linda Proulx and her husband James of Somerset; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, China. He was the brother of the late Lorraine Guinen, Jeanette Meade, Alice Ferreira, Roger A. Chouinard and Ronald Paul Chouinard.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 10 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 5 - 8 PM.
